Faroese Shawls

I've been busy spinning some merino golden in color, I wasn't planning on using it for anything just wanted to get it spun up. I ordered this book Stahman's Shawls and Scarves It is all about Faroese knitting and history about the Faroese Islands where this beautiful knitting began. I was trying to figure out which shawl I wanted to make first, when my DH spoke up and said he would like the Walters Seaman Scarf knitted with the yarn I had just finished spinning. So it was on, I would make him the scarf. Turned out that this was the perfect first project for me since lace knitting I had never attemped before. It is still on the needles but almost done, Cant wait for finish it, so I can start something else in the book.

Debbie's Knitting

Welcome to my blog!
I'm just getting started so please come back and visit often. I'm just learning how to do this. How exciting to share projects and pics of all the things I make.
I like to spin my own fiber, it is so theraputic. I have been knitting for over 30 years, and I still learn new things.

My husband and I love to travel, he was in the military for 20 years, now retired.
