Summer Knitting

I've been knitting a little bit this summer. I started this pullover
with the merino I spun. I was going to do a sock kal but I couldn't get the gauge it's a microgauge 10 st.=1 in. I tried a couple of different yarns and didn't get it, so I gave up. The kids have been coming over and swimming alot, it's been pretty hot. I did get this spun colonial spun and left it in singles. I'm either going to use it for socks or maybe a Faroses Shawl.

I'm in a Swap on Budget group,it is so much fun. We are only suppose to spend $20.00 but that is really hard to do. You get a person to spoil and the only real requirement is they get 1 skeinof yarn and 1 handmade item. I haven't received my box as of yet but I did send my spoilee her box, just waiting for her to get..I hope she likes it I sent her some home spun yarn, the fiber in the picture above is it and I plyed it with some dark Burgendy Merino. I thought it was kinda pretty my daughter really liked it.

Debbie's Knitting

Welcome to my blog!
I'm just getting started so please come back and visit often. I'm just learning how to do this. How exciting to share projects and pics of all the things I make.
I like to spin my own fiber, it is so theraputic. I have been knitting for over 30 years, and I still learn new things.

My husband and I love to travel, he was in the military for 20 years, now retired.
