Closing in on Poncho

I've been delaying the poncho for reasons unknown. So I finally put effort into it and I now have the front and back finished and blocked. I finished spinning the contrasting color for the bottom of the sleeves today, because I don't have enough to ply I'm using it as excited singles and it's looking ok.

I've decided to make a vest out of the Spunky aspen I have spun. It has been a real decision as to what to use that beautiful yarn for, I've been going back and forth with a shawl, a vest, a scarf I found that I really like. I've worked up a gauge swatch for the scarf and the vest and the vest has won. I love the way the colors are coming together with the vest.

Debbie's Knitting

Welcome to my blog!
I'm just getting started so please come back and visit often. I'm just learning how to do this. How exciting to share projects and pics of all the things I make.
I like to spin my own fiber, it is so theraputic. I have been knitting for over 30 years, and I still learn new things.

My husband and I love to travel, he was in the military for 20 years, now retired.
